Comment on the draft Ethics Administration and Code of Ethics Policy

Researchers are aware of the importance of an ethical review of their research proposals, a standard operating procedure. Therefore, it is essential that The College institutes an appropriate code of ethics. In 2008, The College established a Research Advisory Board comprising internal and external representatives with a mandate to strengthen research policies, to craft a Strategic Research Plan and to award start up grants to faculty.

To help us in our efforts, the board’s subcommittee, the Institutional Review Board, comprised of Chair Ms. Evania Thompson and members Dr. Kremild Saunders and Ms. Bernadette Robbins, is inviting all faculty to review the attached draft Ethics Administration and Code of Ethics Policy. We welcome your input and encourage you to forward your comments, questions or concerns to Ms. Thompson at evaniathompson@cob.edu.bs by 26th February 2010.
