Minister of Health Opens HIV Testing Day on Campus
Dr Minnis officially opening the HIV/AIDS Testing Day

College of The Bahamas officials were delighted when Minister of Health and Social Development, Dr Hubert Minnis, opened its second HIV Testing Day on Tuesday 18th, November. Dr Minnis spoke of his pleasure at seeing so many students preparing to be tested and his satisfaction at the initiative of The College to host such an initiative. He also explained the way The Bahamas has managed its more than 10,000 cases of HIV/AIDS since the epidemic first bit in the mid 1980s and how proud the country should be of the care and treatment it offers HIV/AIDS sufferers.

The day is a joint venture organized by the Campus Life Department; the AIDS Secretariat; and two classes from the School of Social Sciences and their professors, Ms Camille Barnett and Ms Janice Miller, with assistance from the US Embassy.
