Camille, Lady Barnett Receives Golden Heart Award
Camille, Lady Barnett receives the Golden Heart Award from Mr. R.E. Barnes. The College of The Bahamas congratulates Camille, Lady Barnett, Associate Professor, Sociology, on being awarded the Lady Sassoon Golden Heart Award at the 2011 Heart Ball on Saturday, February 19th. Each year, The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation honours individuals with the distinction of the Golden Heart Award for unselfishly promoting human welfare and dignity. The honour is well deserved considering Lady Barnett's tenacity and compassion in educating the public and raising awareness about HIV/AIDS over the years. President of the Bahamas AIDS Foundation since 2002, she has also worked diligently to raise much needed funding for the national campaign while serving the most vulnerable among us. The College salutes Lady Barnett on achieving this honour and extends best wishes for the future.
