Memorial Service for Susan Plumridge

A memorial service for Susan Plumridge, former Assistant Professor in the School of Social Sciences, who died suddenly earlier this month, was held at the Band Shell on Wednesday 17th September, 2008. Canon Kirkley Sands, Chair of the School of Social Sciences, was the moderator and many tributes were paid by Susan�s colleagues and her children, Ben and Kathleen. Among those paying tribute were Rhonda Chipman-Johnson, Executive Vice-President, Academic Affairs; Earl Alfred, Treasurer, Union of Tertiary Educators of The Bahamas (UTEB); William Fielding, Director Planning; and Yvette Pintard-Newry and E�Thegra Symonette, Assistant Professors in the School of Social Sciences. All remembered her concern for her students, her contributions to the psychology programme at The College, her warm and friendly personality and her love of chocolate. She will be sadly missed.
