Students, faculty and staff attended a special Convocation of Praise on Tuesday, January 24th, asking for divine guidance and renewing their commitment to service and the mission of The College of The Bahamas. The convocation was held under the theme: "Called to Serve".
Delivering an inspiring message, Evangelist Clyde Symonette of Westridge Church of Christ urged the College community to express its faith through service. "If everyone in this room expressed their faith through service, just imagine the difference it could make in the future of this little island," he said.
College President Dr. Betsy Vogel-Boze expressed a desire for the Opening Convocation to become a tradition. "My prayer for us today is for a bright future for The College of The Bahamas; a future determined by dialogue, inspired by service, nurtured with civility and celebrated as a community," she
said in her message.
