Tamara Myers Wins CARIFTA Silver Medal
Congratulations to Accounting major Tamara Myers for winning the silver medal in the age 20 and under girls triple jump competition at the CARIFTA Games in Jamaica. "I feel really good about winning the silver medal because last year I was not able to compete," says Tamara of her second CARIFTA silver medal. "Competing against other countries brings out the best in you and with the triple jump I have to work hard to stay competitive." Jamaica secured the triple jump gold medal with a 12.83 metres jump; and Dominica, bronze with a jump of 12.30 meters. Biology with Chemistry major Lorenzo Rolle placed 5th in the menšs Javelin with a throw of 54.25 meters; Trinidad won the competition with a throw of 72.04 meters.
