Frequently Asked Questions

Can new students register during late registration?
Yes, new students can register during late registration
Will I be charged a late registration fee?
Current students will be charged a late registration fee of $150.00 in addition to their tuition.
New students will not be charged a late registration fee.
Will I need to be advised again if I was deregistered?
Yes, you will need to be advised again if you were deregistered from your classes, ensure that you are advised for alternate classes.
Will I be charged for making changes to my class schedule?
Current students who have paid for classes and who wish to make changes to their schedules will incur a charge of $20.00.
New students will not be charged for making changes to their schedules.
Can I register online during late registration?
No, late registration will be done on campus at the Records Department only.
Can I make changes to my class schedule during late registration?
Yes you can, providing there is space in the desired section.
Is deferred payment available during late registration?
Deferred payment is available for new students only up to January 9th, 2009.
What should I do if I have been placed on hold for either Probation or Suspension?
If you have been placed on Probation or Suspension, you will need to see the Dean of your school before you can register. Click here for a list of Deans and schools.
Will the waitlist process be used during late registration?
No, because we are conducting late registration in Records only.
Which form do I use for late registration?
If you paid for your courses already and only wish to add or drop a course, you should use the white "Course Change and Withdrawal Form"; however, if you preregistered for courses and did not pay, you should use the blue "Course Request Form".
Do I get a refund if my class is cancelled?
If your section is cancelled by the College, you will receive a full refund of the tuition paid for the course.
How do I know that my classes have been added or dropped?
Upon paying your Drop/Add Processing Fee, your receipt will include your updated class schedule.
Do I get a refund if I drop a course?
During the Fall and Spring Terms, refunds are given as follows:
Before the first scheduled class 90% refund
During the first week of class 75% refund
During the second week of class 50% refund
Withdrawal thereafter NIL

During Summer Sessions, refunds are given as follows:
Before the first scheduled class 90% refund
By the third day of class 75% refund
By the fourth day of class 50% refund
Withdrawal thereafter NIL
Can I register for courses that have the letter "F" in the section number?
Sections with an "F" are for Freeport students only, New Providence students should not register for these courses as these courses are held in Freeport.
