General
Why was the Fall 2010 COB Award disbursement letters issued late?
The Fall 2010 disbursements were late for various reasons:
- The new applications were delivered to applicants late, thus pushing the submission deadline later than usual.
- Consideration was given for entering application data electronically and for students to provide attachments for their application.
- The Committee had to make decisions on all applicants at the same time in order to distribute funds in the best possible way. A sequential disbursement would have resulted in the fund being depleted prior to all applicants being served.
How will the College send financial aid related messages to me?
The College will send financial aid related messages to you via your C.O.B. e-mail. If you provided your personal e-mail on your application, messages will be sent to this address for this semester only, hereafter messages will be sent to your COB email account.
Why are the Fall 2010 COB award amounts not even round numbers as in previous years?
The amounts disbursed took into consideration the exact amount of tuition and fees, how much was paid by other scholarships, how much family contribution was expected and the total amount of money available for financial aid.
What is the basis upon which the COB Award was disbursed?
The amounts were based on the documented need of the student and their household income level.
