We are charged with the responsibility of maintaining the physical environment that is necessary to carry out the college's mission.  Our staff includes talented crafts persons, skilled professionals and highly-qualified support personnel. We are all here to make our campus a comfortable and efficient place to study, work, live, play or just visit. With the implementation of our web site we hope to provide more efficient service to the campus community. Our vision is to provide superior customer service to the faculty, staff and students of the college. To develop and train our staff to meet the growing demands of The College of the Bahamas. To create an atmosphere of teamwork and pride among staff members. To provide an environment that recognizes individual and team accomplishments. To maintain and operate the physical plant in a way that allows the college to reach its strategic goal of excellence in teaching and research.

Mission:

The Physical Plant and Facilities Department is a service department which provides superior maintenance and custodial service to the faculty, students and staff in order to support, achieve and exceed The College's mission and vision statement. Our goal is to provide timely, professional, quality service for customer satisfaction. The physical plant department comprises approximately 90 employees. Each member of staff is committed to providing all of our customers with top notch customer service. Physical Plant is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and repair of all The College's buildings, assisting to set up events, hanging pictures and certificates and much more. As we attempt to improve the service that we provide to The College, we ask for your patience and comments.
